We had a great time at the #TmobileSummer #Duval event last week! There was great food, fun games, and of course, great prizes and swag! Look who just happened to be our youngest winner of the night, claiming a brand new Samsung Blaze….
What’s a Mama to do? Well for one thing, he’s not going to get that cell-phone activated for his own use– ha- that’s funny! What I’m thinking of doing, though, is activating it to have handy for when my older son goes out with friends, to a birthday party, or sleepover. It’s just easier if I could text or call him without having to go through calling his friend’s mom.
My concern, of course, is that he will abuse his phone privileges if we gave him one. During the #TmobileSummer event we learned the alarming statistic of teens that use their phones during the school day or at night when they should be sleeping. Hearing those statistics normally would have made me worry, except that with the Family Where application, I no longer have to. I can place limitations on my son’s device including for example, limiting who he can call at certain times of the day or night. I feel better knowing that I can monitor his use.
We also learned how to keep images on a phone safe from deletion or in the event the phone is lost. If you are like me, you take pictures or videos of your family and fun summer moments every few minutes! With T-Mobile, you can capture the precious memories without worrying about losing the valuable footage. Not only do most of T-Mobile’s smartphones feature high-definition cameras, but they also offer applications that back-up your photos, videos and contacts and protect your phone from viruses and malware, ensuring the precious moments you capture will be there to enjoy for years to come! Super cool feature!
What about you, do you have a Tween using a cell phone? If so, how do you monitor it?
Or, how do you protect your data on your phone?
I partnered with Mom It Forward and received compensation for my participation as a #TmobileSummer hostess.
