Let’s face it, most kids love chicken nuggets but chicken nuggets are not exactly healthy. Really, I question how some chicken nuggets are even called chicken. But now you can find healthy chicken nuggets for you or the kids that taste delicious and are available in a drive-thru. Score

But first, let’s explore why I need healthy chicken nuggets to begin with…

My kids have very busy activity schedules. We have an activity every day starting Saturday and go through Wednesday night. Having active kids means you plan out dinner days or hours in advance to avoid the feeding kids fried chicken and fries before  football practice or gymnastics. 

Eating healthy on the go is hard as it’s nearly impossible or expensive. If do a drive-thru, most often you are limited to an unhealthy entree combined with a healthy side items like fruit cup  or carrot sticksIf you or your child eats gluten-free, well, you’re left with ordering an adult size salad for a five year-old.   

Thanks to Chic-fil-A, busy parents on the go can choose grilled chicken nuggets for kids or themselves without sacrificing flavor or a healthy lifestyle. Grilled Nuggets are small bite-sized chicken nuggets that are not breaded or fried.

The nuggets were first introduced in 2012 as a Kid’s Meal entrée. But the recipe to the nuggets and other grilled chicken dishes have been reinvented as of April 2014. And now the nuggets are available in adult size portions as well. Adults or your big kid can order Grilled Nuggets in 8 or 12-count sizes and are made without gluten-containing ingredients or trans fats. 

The nuggets are part of Chick-fil-A’s new grilled chicken recipe that took seven years of testing and more than $50 million to reinvent its grilled chicken recipe.  The new recipe gave all chicken toting items on the menu a serious, tasty upgrade. And since pretty much everything on the menu has chicken, well almost the whole menu is new.  (The grilled items, at least.)

Thanks to Chick-fil-A the kids and I had the opportunity to taste the entire new menu. And by entire, I really mean entire! The salad, the wrap, the grilled chicken club and sandwich.

We would not have eaten so much if the new chicken wasn’t so darn delicious. It’s seasoned, fresh, and the chicken is actually grilled on a custom grill that are new in each restaurant. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat anything else, we were served our favorite milk-shakes. If you’ve had a Chick-fil-A milkshake before then you knew we just couldn’t say no. So we had our milkshakes and had to be carried out by the cow that made our chicken.
