Curly hair runs deep in my family. All curls, all patterns. My hair is different than my daughter’s so I’ve been trying to learn how her hair works. If you have a girl with curly hair then you know it’s a fun and adventurous ride! Taking care of curly hair takes time. And patience. With back to school in full swing, I have to make sure that we’re ready to go in the mornings and that includes having my girl’s hair done the night before.
Why? Well with three kids, mornings in my house are hectic! We’re fixing lunches, grabbing items for homework and trying to make sure we’re out of the house and in the car by 7:30 am. One of the things that can cause us delay is my daughter’s hair. She has a lot of hair and it’s a lot to manage. And now that she’s older, she has a say in how her hair is styled. Before I just made a few braids and called it a day. Now she wants a style.
My daughter’s hair seems to change every year. When she was born she had light curls. They the curls changed pattern and were really tight, then it was growing really fast, now it seems to be taking forever to grow! One thing that’s never changed though is that my daughter’s curly hair needs a good detangling shampoo and a leave-in conditioner. We’ve tried so many different brands. When we find a brand that works, I am giddy!
JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Shampoo, Leave-in-Conditioner, and Detangling Spray is the perfect combination for even curly hair. My favorite product in the line is the detangling spray as it can be used on wet AND dry hair. So perfect in between washes and it does the job without causing hair to get pulled.

Here are my step-by-step directions to getting your curly girl’s hair ready in no time!
-
Step 1 Cleanse hair using JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Shampoo and Conditioner. While the conditioner is in, use a wide tooth comb and gently untangle hair starting from the ends and going to the roots.
-
Step 2 Nourish: JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Leave-In Conditioner After shampoo and conditioner, apply a generous amount of leave-in condition.
-
Step 3 Style: JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Detangling Spray. Before styling, spray detangler into hair while parting into four or more sections. Braid or twist hair to keep hair untangled and ready to go. I keep my daughter’s braided hair style for a few days. Helps make the mornings go really fast!
