Healthy Frozen Treat Ideas For Kids

Are your kids constantly asking for frozen treats during the hot summer months?  I know my kids are! Frozen treats are a big hit in the summer and that’s totally understandable. After all, it’s boiling hot outside. But it can be hard to find a frozen treat that tastes good and is made with real fruit or low calorie. If you’re not careful, the calories and fat in most frozen treats can really add up.  So I try to switch things up and balance the good, with the not so good, whenever I can.Healthy Frozen Treat Ideas For Kids

And now I’m a happy mom because I found a refreshing and low calorie frozen treat that everyone in our house loves. Mango Fruttare bars. The mango bars are bursting with flavor and made with real mangoes.  As a mom that always reads the nutrition label, I was sold on the fact that mango was the second ingredient on the list. That explains why when you compare these bars to others, you’ll understand why Fruttare bars taste so much better. The mango bar almost tastes like a frozen mango on a stick.  The mango bars have only 60 calories per bar! Does it get any better than that?

If mango is not your flavor or you want other options, there are plenty of flavors to pick from. You can find more real fruit in flavors like piña, strawberry, coconut, banana, and lime. Something for everyone in your family, even the picky eaters.

If you’re looking for ideas to change up your summer dessert with something refreshing this summer try Fruttare Bars.  And don’t tell your kids how much real fruit is in them until after they fall in love with the flavor! (That’s my little secret to get things to try something new.  I let them eat it first, then go into all the yummy goodness of the food so they understand they are making a smart food choice!)
