A true southern girl learns to make homemade biscuits. Although I’m more of a northeastern city girl, I sometimes put on my southern charm and make some delicious southern inspired food like my corn bread stuffing. Because my family loves fluffy biscuits, I decided I had to learn how to make homemade biscuits.
When I was a young bride, I registered for my wedding china at Dillard’s. They gave me a book which was more like a bible for the young bride that included everything from how to choose the right linens, preparing your home for guests, to classic recipes like this one for cloud biscuits. I referred to that manual for a lot of things in my early days as a young bride but it took me a few years to try the biscuit recipe. The very idea of baking biscuits intimidated me. Seemed complicated and so hard. Would they be fluffy, flaky, or even good? Little did I know making biscuits were much easier than I thought, and fast.
If you’re looking for an easy to make biscuit recipe, I definitely recommend trying this one.
