Kim Kardashian gets a new cat and the news makes headlines everywhere. We watched as Kim made everything from Kris Humphries to diet pills famous and now we can credit her for making white Persian cats the next big sensation. I’m sure that this Christmas, 98.9% of teeny boppers across the globe will be adding the adorable little kitten to their holiday wish lists or begging their boyfriends to buy one just like Kanye bought Kim’s cat. Heck, even I kinda want one now. And here I thought I was not a cat lover….
Celebrities making pets famous is not new. Circa 2007 or so, Paris Hilton made constant headlines every time she bought a new Yorkie. Owning a cat is officially cool. (Sorry Yorkie breeders, the Kardashians have spoken!)
In my true entrepreneurial spirit, I started thinking. I wish I had some White Persian cats to breed. I mean, why not? From the accessories to the cats, this can be the next big industry! After I thought about all the possibilities, even saw my picture flash across the screen on the next episode of How I Made My Millions, I had to remember one thing. Love them or hate them, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are forces to be reckoned with. I am almost certain that they have thought about this already. Already in production, I’m sure we’ll see fashion pet carriers coming out by Christmas with jewelry to match, tiaras, etc. In fact, the duo have probably already started breeding the cats to create a perfect breed to carry the Kardashian name. We’ll all be asking ourselves why we didn’t think of it first!
