I wrote this post as part of my participation in a blog tour for Latina Mom Bloggers on behalf of ZYRTEC® ALLERGY FACE®and received compensation to thank me for taking the time to participate. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
Allergy season is officially here and my eyes and nose have had it! Under my eyes are the first thing to puff up and it really takes away from my “youthful” glow I work so hard at keeping. (Ha, ha!) Not the look I’m going for.
I really can’t complain though. My youngest son, who is only 8, suffers from really bad seasonal allergies. The moment he wakes up he’s sneezing all the way to his desk at school! His teacher even wrote us a note once, “Please give C. more allergy medicine.” If only she knew, he’s on the maximum dose approved by his doctor.
Thankfully ZYRTEC® helps both of us relieve the allergy symptoms of sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery eyes and itchy nose. Our symptoms are caused mostly by pollen though many people with allergies have other triggers such as dust, mold, pet dander, weeds or grasses.
If you have ever suffered from allergies then you know how they can really affect the way you feel, but also how you look. Going to work, preparing for a date, or just wanting to look rested can be hard when you suffer from allergies. Allergies can give you that not so attractive ALLERGY FACE® like a red nose, puffy face and watery eyes. The worst!
Thanks to Zyrtec and celebrity makeup artist Jackie Gomez, I have a few tips to share to help all allergy sufferers tackle ALLERGY FACE®. Jackie’s tips are great for women of all shades that suffer from allergy-related beauty challenges. She has worked with major celebrities like Beyoncé, Zoe Saldana and Maite Perroni to create six celebrity-inspired looks that will help women disguise their ALLERGY FACE® beauty challenges to look beautiful from day to night.
Make-Up Tips for Watery Eyes & Other Allergy Symptoms
-Curl your lashes away from your eyes to make your eyes look brighter
-Use water proof mascara to hold your curl.
-Contour your face with a bronzer and start on the outside of your face and brush in the shape of a 3.
-Use a green primer and red or bright lipstick to keep focus on eyes and lips instead of your red nose.
-Using a black liner contour eyes then smudge the lids to make eyes appear fresh and bigger.
